A Song for Centipedes
Some centipedes rest end-to-end
in crevices like caulking, while
others tool at warp speed – legs and segments
rolling! Varnish brown – on the move – they’re
going places, outdoing the silky swish
of Afghan hounds at dog shows
– with tuxedoed handlers –
rippling through their paces.
