As It Ought to Be Magazine invites submissions from both seasoned writers and emerging voices.
We are especially interested in the following genres:
- Poetry
- Creative Non-Fiction
- Responses to current events in politics and culture
- Philosophical essays and social commentary
- Art and literary criticism
- Book reviews
- Interviews with writers, artists, scholars, activists, and community leaders
For all submissions, please include a brief introductory letter, a short biography written in the third person, and contact information. We prefer your manuscripts to be sent in a Word document or a pdf format. Please note that we will not be able to accept previously published work.
