(Misfits) Camping in the round
What you hide about yourself
is how to start a song with drums.
Palms licked smooth like dancing.
Night-washed bonfire-colored
curtains of uncertainty
clothesline sensible and flapping
like a ghost-tent
the Polaroid remembers embers.
Shaking arms
when gravity is called by name
these are especially
fiery times. Akimbo legged boy
slow down
pulling the marshmallows out.
Moment of Limbo – Combustible Eye
timid-hidden and hollering for you
some sounds
aren’t made
to hear well.
