Still Frozen
anxiety is gripping
not like a Good Samaritan
grabbing your desperate hand
saving you from a fall
anxiety is gripping
like a taser
shocking you frozen
stillness
halting the reflex to resist
falling over the cliff
a pause
that permits the drop
stillness riddled with turmoil
not peace
